Disney’s California Grill at The Top of Contemporary Resort

I finally was able to visit Disney’s California Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort! I have never been up there. I always thought it was a black tie restaurant and lounge. I went up with a few friends and it was awesome in there! So exciting that I cannot wait to go again.

The food was so good at, the California Grill! They also have a Vegan dish of four plates for $30. It was very good. My friend had the goat cheese ravioli. It looked so yummy! They also have many other entrees. Oak fired flilet of beef, grilled pork tenderloin, Alaskan halibut, and so much more!

Now we have to talk about the wine! It includes over 250 selections! I did not know what to order. The waitstaff is so excellent there she helped me with what I told her I liked and the wine was so good! I like to drink red wine since it is good for your health. But, I am very picky. I love sweet wine so she picked a perfect wine for me.

Now finally we are getting to the view! Oh it is so beautiful! You have to be early to get a table near the window because it is so busy! Make sure and check in at the 2nd floor early. You are taken up the elevator with a hostess. There is also a balcony outside to watch the fireworks. This is definitely the best place to watch the fireworks. You will feel like a real princess!

Walt Disney World® Fireworks Cruises

Walt Disney World® Fireworks Cruises

I have been very blessed to be able to go on two Walt Disney World® Fireworks Cruises. My friends and family have gone out of the Contemporary dock both times.

Contemporary Pontoon Boats - Walt Disney World® Fireworks Cruises

This is such an exciting experience! So magical for a change of pace. This is a cruise for everyone so it is great for a multi-generational activity also. The cruise I chose was a pontoon boat. These boats hold 8-10 people in your family and/ or friends group and they are very nice!

It was a little cool when we went out so they provided towels and blankets to stay warm. The activity is also a tour of different sites along the way. Our group saw Bay Lake, Seven Seas Lagoon and Cresent Lake. Also many more views along the way one was a view of where the new DVC Resort is going to be! I do not want to have any more spoilers but, just think “shoes” and you will know what I mean when you go on the cruise.

Most importantly guests on the cruise can bring their own food or dinner. You are also able to bring your own wine. Snacks are provided with chips, and drinks. We had a special chocolate plate with our name on the plate and macaroons. Oh, I had never had macaroons before and they melt in your mouth along with the chocolate and taste so good! The chocolate was to die for.

It was my friends birthday celebration so on the boat there was a banner with Happy Birthday on it with balloons! My friend and I felt like real princesses. They also were so kind enough to make her a fruit plate for a Vegan snack! How is that for service?

After a day at the parks this was a special VIP treat full of magical memories. One of the best things about these cruises is that they are private. Only you and your family and friends! This makes special time together and Disney is all about family and friends.

Some nights you will be able to see the Electrical Water Padgent just depending on the time of the cruise and fireworks.

The “Grand Finale” of this cruise is location, location, location! This is a VIP view of the fireworks. As the “Happily Ever After” fireworks were glowing up the sky with color tears filled my eyes. I felt like a small child again full of wonder, joy, and excitement! Of course, all of the music is piped into the boat. You can see the fireworks take up the whole sky. It is a perfect view that you cannot get anywhere else. You will be so relaxed and memorized on this trip.

There are many more different cruises to choose from. They go out of many different resort docks. The cost runs from $299 to $349 for a cruise as we went out on. Remember there is a discount for Annual Passholder, and DVC Members. Do not miss this go out with your friends and family and make your own special memories together. This is unforgettable magic! Write all of your comments below! Tell me about your specialty cruise!

Walt Disney World® Tip of the Week: Memory Maker -is it Worth the Price?

Many people ask if Disney’s Memory Maker is worth the price. To me, it is a hidden gem! To have the videos and photos for memories is a magical wonder. I am so happy I bought it many times before it came with my annual pass. I love to look back at those special memories which are gone so soon. It also comes with “Magic” photos which are my favorite!

Blast Off On Epcot’s Mission Space Orange Team!

I recently took a trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort with my twelve year old Granddaughter. Of course the kids want to ride all of the fast rides. Walt himself imagined a place where kids and adults could have fun together. I knew Mission Space was not very popular on the Green Team so I agreed to ride with my Granddaughter on the Orange team for the first time. Now my Granddaughter loved it but, I did not. It was very uncomfortable. Now I know why it is not very popular. Here is my review of the ride.

I think Disney missed the ball on this ride. We are not Astronauts and just want to have fun. I knew this ride spun so I checked out the Gravitron at our local fair. No problem with that so I figured I was prepared to Blast off on the Orange Team at Epcot’s Mission Space. It was absolutely terrible and I will not ride it again. It felt like an elephant was on my chest. This ruined the take off and landing and the other parts of the ride. Who wants to ride a ride when it feels like an elephant is on your chest? I actually thought I had broken ribs from it.

I wanted my readers to know why this ride is so unpopular. Disney needs to re-do this ride. I do not know how fast it spins but it is faster than the Gravitron at the fair. The Gravitron was fun, and no elephant was on my chest. I think this ride should be at Nasa as it is almost an exact takeoff of a spaceship. The closest one ever a cast member told me. I also found out it cost $100 million dollars to make.

This ride is not for me. Do you like it? Tell me about your experience in the comments below.
