Walt Disney World’s® Boardwalk Inn and Villas is like stepping back in time to the older day’s of an Atlantic seaside resort. It is a very large hotel, and entertainment complex. The atmosphere really takes me back to a dreamy bygone era and I feel like I am really there. My family and I just love to stay there. When I was a little girl I can remember going to the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey one time. I can still smell the cotton candy, and see the lights in my mind. This is what Walt Disney World’s® Boardwalk takes me back to. There are so many special things there. First are the Friendship boats which run to Hollywood Studio’s and to the back of Epcot. They are so very nice to ride. I count them as a ride in themselves. The boats are not on a track and are really launched and docked. They run about every 20 minutes. It is very relaxing to ride them back and forth. The buses run everywhere else.

The pool has a clown face at the end of the slide and is called “Keister Coaster” made like an old wooden roller coaster! It has a very nice pool and slide. There are many new activities and games at the pool for children. I thought it was really fun as I was watching!  I just love The Boardwalk Inn and Villas!

There are several restaurants on the Boardwalk to eat at:

  • Boardwalk Bakery
  • Big River Grille & Brewing Works
  • Boardwalk Pizza Window
  • ESPN Club
  • Flying Fish Café
  •  Trattoria al Forno
  • There is also a candy store called, Seashore Sweets

At night there are street entertainers, and surrey bikes to rent to ride around. There are twinkle lights all around the buildings and it is only a short walk to see Illuminations at the bridge. It looks so pretty with the lights and buildings all around. There are also carts with hot dogs and other treats for sale.

I love to visit Walt Disney’s World’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas at the holiday’s if I stay there or not. This past December my family and I were looking at the decorations and Mickey and Minnie came to visit in their holiday suits! It was such a great surprise! I love the decorations and now there is also a small gingerbread house to purchase goodies! It has been there a couple of years. I always think of the holidays in July! It is one of my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World® Resort and Disney’s Boardwalk.

If you are not sure where to stay or want to try a deluxe resort or even something new you will not be disappointed with Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. It is just fabulous to stay there! I love it!
