I loved this movie and I think you will too! I have been a movie geek since I was a little girl. My Cousin and I would stay all day and watch the same Disney movie over and over for .50. I know this is not Disney but, the Winchester movie really stands out with the storyline and the rooms, staircases, rumblings, and pop outs! I usually do not see this type of Movie but, I really loved it. This was a massive house with shadows and glass domes. Some of the stairways go nowhere. A few of the doors go nowhere. It is so interesting that it was based on a true story.
I had no idea this house really existed. It has 160 rooms and is 24,000 square feet. The story is Sarah Winchester designed it to hold souls who died from the fired Winchester rifles. but, another theory is she had tons of money and wanted to keep her workers employed. After her husband died about 50% of Winchester Repeating Arms Co. left her $20 million dollars. She kept her workers working 24 hours a day on the house until her death in 1922.
I do not want to give any spoilers but, the actors really bring out the story in this movie with its twists and turns. I loved the house very much. A bizarre mystery which intrigues me to go to California to see the house! Was Sarah crazy??
Go see the movie and tell me what you think! I give it an excellent review and would love to see it one more time, it justs costs more than .50 now!
